I feel like i'm being a pain but this is one crazy complex plugin.

I downloaded all the various files that it requires and got sketchup to load with no errors. It still gives me an error when I try to import a file.

I don't see a preferences option for enable ruby plugins. I already have several plugins working already including the flightofideas one for exporting svg. The menu option is there under plugins.

I get cannot convert argument to sketchup::3d points.

I saved the files as a plain svg and tried again but got the same error.

I don't really understand the compression comment. I have other ruby files working fine but this one isn't. Do I need to compress all the required files into one rbz? I'm using windows 7 so the zip command isn't working for me. I did compress the file into a zip file and rename it .rbz. Now the plugin doesn't work anymore.

I am using sketchup 8.

You can always go the route of saving the SVG files as DXF files from Inkscape and then seeing if SketchUp will accept them. I don't have plugins for SketchUp to import DXF files, but my copy of SolidWorks reads them just fine (the DXF output from Inkscape).

Hi there,
i'm close to rebuilding the eggbot, as i already have a stepper driver on hand i want to do it all by my self..
So this topic is of great interest for me. Will anyone be able to post dxf files of the eggbot chassi which are proven to work?
TIA,
Joe

Joe,
If you are interested in making your own Eggbot, please use the *original* files as your basis for conversion. I suggest taking the route SVG->EPS->DXF, if that's what you want to use.
