Any chance of or thoughts concerning a Peggy 3.0? I would love to see Peggy updated to use the 8x8 LED matrix's from the Meggy Jr. I am assuming it would be an array of nine of the modules to approximate the current layout of LEDs (although that makes it 24x24 instead of 25x25 right?).

Is such a thing even feasible? Would cost be too prohibitive?

Thanks again for the great kits.

Any potential thing called "Peggy 3" will still be a while off, and will not use LED matrix displays.

Hint #1: We're just putting together a new batch of Peggy 2's; redesigning it is *not* one of our near term projects. (Why replace it when we could instead have something new and different?)

Hint #2: Peggy is a name for our Pegboard displays. Anything called a "Peggy" is going to have discrete LEDs.

Hint #3: The little matrix game thingy is called Meggy Jr. RGB. (Why "Meggy"? Why "Jr."? Why "RGB"? ) Maybe something called a Meggy or Meggy RGB will come along someday... Smile

We have a lot of plans, but these things do all take time. A direct conversion to 25x25 RGB LEDs, for example (either with discrete or matrix LEDs) may or may not be economically favorable, but it's certainly approaching the limits of memory and processing power if we stick with the ATmega168 to keep Arduino compatibility.
