Larson Scanner -> Menorah conversion?

Howdy!

Just to be sure, can I use the same Larson Scanner hardware to make a mini Menorah, just by reprogramming the chip?

If so, I'd expect I'd need to add some headers and get a programmer like the Adafruit one, correct?

Anything else?
