My 10mm diffused LED Larson Scanner kit was missing the capacitor. My local Radio Shack had only one type of 0.1uF capacitor in stock and it wasn't an exact replacement. According to the label, It is a 0.1uF ceramic-disk capacitor, 50WVDC maximum, High K dielectric. I installed it and the scanner appears to be working. Is this an acceptable substitution, or am I going to eventually experience a catastrophic failure?

Sorry for the missing part-- that shouldn't happen but does occasionally. The capacitor that you installed is a fine substitute-- no worries there.
