I'm working on a project and am trying to figure out how to wire some LED's together and also have an on/off switch available.

I'm not sure if I want it battery powered or outlet powered...i think for my first project battery power would be good but for the second project outlet powered would be the best.

I have no electric wiring experience except for making throwies Smile

anybody have some DIY links or advice?

thanks

Definitely a good place to spend a weekend or three:

For batteries, a switched battery pack is a sure-fire way to control power output, and plenty of configurations are available from the Evil Mad Science store, or even locally if you look around at hobby shops.

As you only trying to wire a series of LEDs to a battery to make a light source? If so, definitely do some internet searching (or read through in the link above) about voltage requirements, resistors, etc.
