Anything new happening on the Egg-Bot?
I hate to bother you but I'm antsy about it.

Any thoughts about drawing on a golf ball or are the dimples going to bother the pen point?

Yes, you can draw on a golf ball. I'd just use a clean, preferrably new golf ball. Otherwise, any dirt will gunk up your pen tips. You might need to slow the pen drawing speed down a small tad, but other than that it works fine. (You can adjust the drawing speed through the control panel presented by Inkscape when you ask to plot on an Eggbot.)

As to your question aimed at Eggbot news, I'll leave that for the kind folks in the know to answer. I suspect that with the Open Hardware Summit starting Thursday followed by the Maker Faire NYC on Saturday and Sunday, that our friends at EMSL are focused on preparations for said events.

We do plan to come back with pictures and stories!

We're on schedule with kitting, documentation and software for release. We should be shipping the first kits by the end of the month and putting up lots of documentation when we start shipping kits.

After all that, is there anything new?

The first batch of kits is shipping, and the docs will be posted tomorrow, October 5.
