 Interleaving blue and white?

I saw reference in the older kits about the LEDs in the panels being half blue, and half white for each quadrant. The current kits state that it is a bad idea to mix colors on the same panel, but I was wondering if they can still be interleaved within each quadrant, or if we need to stick to one color for the whole panel?

You *can,* but it can lead to an imbalance in the "zero-point" of the circuit, how it behaves at rest.

If you're going to do it, try to make it so that the not-physical-but-logical-high five LEDs (e.g., D101, 103, 105, 107, 109) and not-physical-but-logical-low five LEDs (e.g., D100, 102, 104, 106, 108) in each half-quadrant have the same number of blue and white LEDs. That is, you can do (for example) three blue and two white in both sets of five, or 5 blue and no white in each set of five, or 1 white and 4 blue in each set of five within a half quadrant.

Understandable.

Is it safe to assume, then, that I would be able to alter the blue/white mix, as long as it was matched per "w" in each half-quadrant? That is, upper half-quadrant 3 blue/2 white per-"w", and lower half-quadrant 3 white/2 blue per-"w"?

Hrm... I'm seeing a potential to have a gradient from all blue on one side to all white on the other, with a mix in between... *strokes chin* Cool
