First question: Is the Meggy Jr RGB working correctly otherwise?

Next: There are a lot of different things that can go wrong to cause this error. It more or less means "something went wrong."

So:
- Make sure that the Meggy Jr is powered on when you're trying to program it.
- Make sure that from the Tools menu in Arduino, you have the correct serial port selected
- Make sure that from the Tools menu in Arduino, you have the correct board (Duemilanove with '328) selected.
- If using windows, check that the following option is set so that your USB-TTL cable works correctly: Device Manager - Comm Ports - USB Serial Port - Port Settings - Advanced button - Set RTS On Close
- Make sure that the cable is connected the right way, not backwards, and that it's not one pin off when you're trying to program.
- Check the soldering by the pins of the chip, and by the pins of the programming connector.

What operating system version do you have?

In the device manager, there should be a section called something like "Ports (COM & LPT)." In that section, you should find an item labeled something like "USB Serial Port (COM7)", or some other COM-number. You'll also need to select that same COM-number in the Arduino menu as well.

You know, all these angry faces and crying faces aren't exactly encouraging me to help you out. I'm doing the best that I can.

Is it the case that your device manager window is fully blank, or just that isn't any COM port listed in the right section?

Okay, it sounds like your computer has the "Ports" option disabled in the BIOS, which is occasionally the standard configuration on certain computers. The "usb serial converter" is probably the one that you're looking for. It may have an "Advanced" tab that you can click. If it gives you the choice, the VCP option should be checked as well.

>excuse me but where is the bios?

No idea. Not even sure that your computer has traditional BIOS. That's low-level software that you shouldn't be messing with unless you're *really* sure of what you're doing.
