Hi all - I hope you can offer some advice. I have a Peggy v2.2 which, until yesterday, was working just fine. In a moment of inattention, I plugged in the wrong PSU - a 9v 0.66a PSU, instead of the standard Peggy PSU. I turned it on and left it on for a minute before realizing my error and shutting it off.

Afterwards, I could upload sketches and the display would flicker like it normally would when uploading, but then only the right nine columns of LEDs would illuminate steadily, regardless of what sketch I uploaded. I checked to make sure all of the ICs were seated properly, and now the whole board lights up (although flickering very rapidly), regardless of what sketch I have loaded.

Is this suggestive of a particular defect I might be able to repair?

Thank you!

Sounds like it's okay after all?

Hi Windell! Well, that's the thing - no matter what I do, the whole board illuminates. I can load one of the example sketches - peggy2_cube, for example - and all I will get is the expanse of lit LEDs, no change.

Ah, I misread.

The LED driver chips are easily damaged by overvoltage, it's likely that one or both of them has been damaged. Since the AVR can be programmed, it's very unlikely that the problem is there.

You were right. I ordered the spare parts kit, replaced the LED drivers, and it's right as rain again. Thank you for your help (and for a fantastic product.)
