It sounds like you aren't actually in alignment mode, but in one of the optional configuration modes. That would explain (1) the +/- not working and (2) the green LEDs being all lit up. Windell H. Oskay drwho(at)evilmadscientist.com http://www.evilmadscientist.com/ |

Again, it sounds like you aren't actually in alignment mode. If the +/- buttons aren't working, you certainly can't get there. Windell H. Oskay drwho(at)evilmadscientist.com http://www.evilmadscientist.com/ |

I have rebooted the clock by unplugging and plugging the power back in and have confirmed that it is in time display mode as the lights go on and off every time Z is pressed. The brightness does not seem to change by pressing either + or - buttons. However, holding the + or - buttons by themselves takes the clock out of time display mode into something like alignment mode with 1 blue LED being lit at a time. The rate advance slows down when either + or - is pressed but doesn't change again unless cycled through again pressing Z 6 times. |

I have rebooted the clock by unplugging and plugging the power back in and have confirmed that it is in time display mode as the lights go on and off every time Z is pressed. Good-- that's progress. The brightness does not seem to change by pressing either + or - buttons. However, holding the + or - buttons by themselves takes the clock out of time display mode into something like alignment mode with 1 blue LED being lit at a time. So it sounds like you may have one or both of these buttons accidentally connected together, and/or connected to ground. That is, they're "pressed all the time." Windell H.
