Greetings!
First off... let start by saying I have NO electronics experience at all and just got started reading thru some things and looking at projects here on the site....
I recently purchased a little electronics (Mr. Curcuit) kit and have been working through doing the basic soderless curcuit projects....
I came to this project among the pages and it would serve my purposes for something that I am building....

However... the little LED's in the kit are woefully dim....
and I would like to have more then just the two lights blinking....
perhaps 2 to 3 lights per "blink" side.... if that makes sense.
If I change out the kit LED's for High Intensity (brighter) LED's
What would I need to do to set this up? Larger Power source?
Can I get by with the little 555 IC chip? (marked HA17555 0J2)
Like I said... I am a COMPLETE newb to electronics... so please be easy on the new guy
Thank you fo your help!

Probably the biggest factor is this: the LEDs in this kit are likely an older generation. Simply replacing them with current generation ultra bright LEDs will likely increase the brightness by a factor of 100 or more.
