Hi all, I (procrastinator that I am) have finally gotten the software installed and found some time to make some ornaments.... Only to find that the power supply for my eggbot is missing.... Does anyone have a suggestion for an easy way to get a replacement? Or what I might look for on some older power supplies I may have sitting around that might have the correct plug? Thanks, Fletcher

See Item 3 of Step 1 of the Eggbot assembly guide for details on what sort of wall wart power supply you need. Look around your home for something compatible. If you come up empty handed, then head on over to a Radio Shack as they carry a variety of these. (Assuming you live in a country with Radio Shack.)

Regards,
Dan

Lenore,

Would an 8.4V x 1.8A power supply work? I know the specs call for 9-18V and a min of 1A. My limited background says that power = V * A (sort of), so 1.8 x 8.4 would be comparable to 1 x 9.

But I thought I would check before I plugged it in and made things worse.

Thanks & Happy Holidays,

Fletcher

8.4 V would likely be sufficient, assuming that it's DC and that it's the correct polarity.

The current rating is just a "capacity" rating. 1 A minimum is needed, so a 9 V, 1000 A power supply would work just the same.
