I've wanted turn signals on my bike for a awhile that were clear and obvious.

I think this works:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rn1D2GohMP0

Some features that it has that don't show up in the video, the +/- buttons still adjust brightness (but are not available without opening the box yet) and every second there is a 1% chance of it flipping to display a scrolling message to entertain any passerby.

Thanks for an awesome kit!

Woot! Thanks for the press.

Yeah, the turn animation is overwrought, but it's a first pass and I was excited at my animation code. I'll probably dial it back to just an animated arrow head.

Functionally, I think what I need is to get some leds up front to also signal to oncoming traffic that I'm turning, I hoping to reuse the the same wires that run the switches so I don't need to run more wires along the bike.

(And I want to redo the box in something prettier, I have some mahogany and walnut lying around.)
