Would it be possible to use your orange or white alphanumeric LED displays in the Alpha Clock Five kit? It seems like the LED digit pinouts are the same. The white LEDs would take more voltage, could I run 6-7V to the PNP digit drive transistors and regulate it down to 5V for the rest of the circuit?

Any chance I could get the other colors as an option when I order the kit? Thanks!

The orange displays at our store will work without modification, however:
1) They are not quite as bright and
2) They do not have the "upper" decimal point, which is used in the clock to indicate the alarm status.

The white displays will not work. We are considering a future version that will be able to use them, however it will cost more because the circuit will need at least two new ICs and the white displays are considerably more expensive.
