I need a switch or a way to cycle though a bank of 7 diff color LEDs one color at a time or maybe cycle through more colors if I can mix the colors (like red and blue on at the same time for a simple example). Its been a few days but I had found a push button switch online that would do 4 changes one for each push of the button. Something like this
http://www.allelectronics.com/make-a-store/item/PB-168/4-POSITION-PUSHBUTTON-SWITCH/1.html
except I need two wires like the ground and one hot wire active each time I push the button. Is there something I can do buy or build? Thanks

You probably won't find something like that in a pushbutton style. Those are mechanically a bit complicated inside, and aren't used much (other than the simple on/off type). You might have a bit more luck looking for a rotating switch that has seven different positions.
Alternately, consider electronic switching between the LEDs electronically (rather than mechanically), by using a single pushbutton. A CD4017 counter circuit would be an easy way to create the "divide by seven" signal that you need.
