Driving into work today mind wandering and I thought: "Why isnt there a microSerialPort standard?"

Really it would be a replacement for the DE-9 or RJ11 standards that most RS-232/485 implementations use, only small enough to mix up with a microUSB port

There are tons of odd implementations of rs232 in everything from digital force gauges to gps units etc... wouldnt it be nice to have one open standard to rule them all...?

just a thought
