I would like to hang mine in the hallway and have them trigger when you walk past, Would a small extra board of infrared LEDs work? From reading the other post, if I understand it right this would cast enough ir light to cast a shadow on the sensors. Does anyone have a suggestions. thanks!

Yup, that should work. Cool

Hang it across the hallway. It might take a modest number of LEDs. You can get IR illuminators from a number of sources.
