Depends what type of microcontroller and programmer you want. We recommend AVR microcontrollers, along with the USBtinyISP programmer from Adafruit Industries, and also the various Arduino systems-- which are based on AVR microcontrollers. As mentioned above AVR microcontroller is best nowadays because it is very well made for a prototype board! It goes to show that with the power of a modern day microcontroller you can do what used to take many huge boards full of electronics not that long ago. |
